DDMG Communications Turns 10

This year, Québec-based boutique public-relations agency DDMG Communications is celebrating its tenth anniversary and highlighting its unique, lifestyle-inspired organizational culture. The agency was launched by Danielle Delaney and Martine Geoffrion and relocated to the heart of Montréal’s Golden Square Mile 4 years ago. The co-founders were looking to bring a homey atmosphere to their workplace and created a contemporary, dynamic office, so that their clients, media and influencers, feel at home.

The partners share a living room-style office space, in which the team regularly meets to work together. The main conference room was also designed like a dining room, and private meals are regularly served here to both team members and external collaborators. The agency is known for its open-door policy, and its clients, members of the media and influencers stop in regularly to attend the office’s weekly VINdredi happy hour or to grab a cup of coffee.

“It is important to us to have a workspace that is inspiring to our team,” explains Danielle Delaney. “When we designed our office, we wanted everyone to feel right a home and be excited to go to work, host guests and organize events.” Martine Geoffrion added: “Human relations drive our profession and we wanted to create an environment that encourages meetings and the exchange of ideas.”

Today, DDMG Communications excels in three specific areas:

  • Making big brands shine. The agency has established a solid reputation for its lifestyle communications for companies in industries ranging from fashion and interior design, to wine, beer, beauty products and travel. DDMG has been working with several brands for over 5 years, including Williams-Sonoma, west elm, Pottery Barn, Kim Crawford Wines, Ruffino, Robert Mondavi Winery, Unilever personal-care products and Unibroue. Other more recent partnerships include Weber, Saint James, Club Med and autoHEBDO.
  • Its strong relationships with the press and influencers. DDMG places a special emphasis on media relations and its rapport with influencers, which are an essential aspect of the agency’s activities. Over the years, the team has truly enjoyed building and maintaining these strong relationships. This is one of the company’s greatest strengths and has allowed its clients to enjoy a first-rate reputation and visibility.
  • Its seasoned team and its focus on success. The agency is structured as a horizontal organization in which each member of the team is involved from start to finish. This ensures commitment and helps develop talent, while also keeping the team aware of what’s happening on the ground.

As a result, the agency now relies on the solid reputation that it has established through the development of successful programs in the past years. Over the next decade, DDMG Communications is looking forward to solidify its position as a leader in its field and to continue establishing new relationships and creating tools to serve all of its clients and audiences.
